James Perone: Morton Feldman is Dead and His Body Has Decomposed (1997)
for clarinet, violin, viola and cello

My piece is sort of a homage and sort of a parody. The first section is in the quiet, slow, almost random sounding style of Feldman, but the notes are from the melody of Hava Nagila (it's almost impossible to recogize due to the Feldmanesque style). The second section is in a fast klezmer style. I view it as a sort of Yiddish version of a New Orleans funeral.
